A 46 km of insect corridor on the side of E45 between Vejle and Aarhus

The transport minister announced a unique biodiversity project. The requirement is that it must be a continuous corridor for insects – narrow in some places, but nowhere broken. This means clearing trees, bushes, scrub and undergrowth (the thick “mat” of withered grass that takes light and space from the flowering herbs), placement of dead trees along the roads (insect hotels) and space for vegetation where insects thrive best.
