New debt collection rules

Since fall 2023, the Debt Agency (Gældsstyrelsen) has been allowed to seize up to 60% of the net income of people indebted to the state. The percentage amount is influenced by income level and number of children. Those with seized income have 14 days from the moment they’re informed to appeal for a lower percentage.
