The prices keep going up

Inflation has reached 8,7% (this means that the prices in July 2022 are 8,7% higher than in July 2021). The highest increase since 1983. According to Nykredit, a family needs to spend 39,000 DKK more to have the same amount of goods purchased as last year. 

  • The top 10 everyday foods that got the highest increase in price (compared to last year) are – butter (50%); beef (29%); baby food (28%); milk (27%); fresh fish (25%); eggs (25%); cheese (23%); coffee (22%); yogurt (21%); bread (14%).
