From January 2024, the price for yearly parking permits in Aarhus will increase from 500 to 2500 DKK. The City Council of Aarhus decided to increase the price by 400% in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. They want Aarhus to become CO2-neutral by 2030.
- Free parking for two hours is also abolished in certain areas.
