Twice a year, you are able to take a citizenship test (that represents the first step towards becoming a Danish citizen). Until this year, to pass the test you needed knowledge on culture, history and geography. From now on, you also need to know the so-called “Danish values” (gender equality, LGBT rights, etc.).
