The local leaders of Venstre (Liberals) started to advocate for a tax on agricultural produce instead of a tax on agriculture. They consider that consumers should bear the cost of the green transition in agriculture, not the farmers. Not surprising, considering that Venstre is a party founded by farmers. The national leadership of the party is waiting for recommendations from a group of experts.
