17,000 people work in Denmark while living in Sweden, and 1,400 people work in Sweden while living in Denmark. As you can imagine, it can be difficult to navigate the taxation rules if you are in this situation. That’s why the two countries agreed to update the Øresund Agreement to simplify the taxation rules to benefit commuters.
