The Danish author, Sara Omar, won the Norwegian literary prize Bjørnson, for the books “The Death Washer” (2017) (about opression and abuse of muslim women) and “The Shadow Dancer” (2019) (about a Kurdish girl that had to flee her home after exposing abuse). The author is originally from the Kurdish part of Iraq.
