The Norwegian government decided to establish an emergency stockpile of grains (starting with 15,000 tonnes next year). In 2030, they want to have a grain stockpile of 82,500 tonnes, which can feed all Norwegians for three months. The last time Norway had such a stockpile was 20 years ago. They base their decision on the unstable global order (war in Ukraine) and climate change (extreme weather conditions that affect food production).
