You have to clear the public pavements next to your house. You must clear the entire width of the pavement – or at least two metres. If it is slippery, sprinkle with sand or salt. If you are renting, it is your landlord’s responsibility. If a passer-by falls down on a pavement next to your house, you could be liable for compensation.
