Every year, on the first Tuesday of October, the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) restarts its activity after the long summer break. The Prime Minister holds the opening speech (like a state of Denmark speech), which is then followed by the opening debate, which sets the tone for the priorities of the Parliament for the next period.
