New maternity leave rules

-

The maternity leave rules we announced in the previous editions have been approved by the Danish Parliament and will enter in function from august 2022. The difference is that now both the mother and the father each have 11 weeks of leave, with another 26 weeks that can be shared.

  • If you are self-employed, the new maternity rules don’t apply.
  • For families with one parent – up to 46 weeks of leave.
